Willis D. Hendley, O.D.

Dr. Hendley, a native Albanian has
practiced in Albany, GA since 1984.
His undergraduate studies were
completed at Darton College and
Georgia Southwestern University
before attending the Southern College
of Optometry at the Medical Center in
Memphis, TN where he graduated with
a BS and OD degrees with honors in 1982.

Dr. Hendley resides with his family in
Albany where he enjoys running, flats
fishing and family time and there's lots of
family time with Sara, Beth, Rebecca,
Mary, John, Josh, Abby and of course,
Dana. He is active in the American
Optometric Association and Georgia
Optometric Association.

Dr. Hendley has special clinical interest
in Anterior Segment disease, Glaucoma
and Lasik as well as primary vision care.


 

Thomas F. DeLoatch, O.D.

Dr. DeLoatch, a native of Thomaston, GA,
graduated from Robert E. Lee Institute in
1971 before moving on to The University
of West GA, Carrollton, GA, where he
received a Bachelor of Science degree in
Physics. After a two year stint teaching high
school mathematics/sciences, Dr. DeLoatch
entered Southern College of Optometry,
Memphis, TN, under the Health Professions
Scholarship Program of the US Army and
completed the requirements for a Doctorate
of Optometry in 1982. Eight week clinical
internships were completed at the Public
Health Service Indian Hospital in Shiprock,
New Mexico and Walter Reed Army Medical
Center, Washington, DC, with intensive
training in diagnosis and treatment of
ocular disease.

In October 1982, Dr. DeLoatch began active
commissioned service in the U.S. Army,
being stationed in Giessen, West Germany
which at the time was home to the largest
concentration of US ground forces outside
the continental United States. In Giessen,
he served as chief of eye care services for
the community until 1985 and was awarded
the Army Commendation Medal for his efforts.
In November 1985, Dr. DeLoatch was transferred
to Fort Stewart, GA with the specific charge of
providing eye care for Rapid Deployment Ranger
Battalion.

In 1987, Dr. DeLoatch's military career ended and
he entered private practice in Thomaston, GA,
moving to Albany, GA in August of 1988, joining
Dr. Willis D. Hendley to eventually form The Eye
Associates of Albany, Inc., which has become
known as Southwest GA's trusted leader in
providing comprehensive primary vision/ocular
health care services.
Dr. DeLoatch, his wife Lyn, and their four children
reside in Dougherty County. While thoroughly
enjoying his work, Dr. DeLoatch most enjoys
being at home with his family. Favorite past times
include; fishing, tennis and playing the guitar.



  Michael J. Garner, O.D.

Dr. Garner has resided and practiced
optometry in Albany, GA since August, 1977.

He did his undergraduate work at the
University of Tennessee and received his
Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College
of Optometry in Memphis, TN inJune of 1976.

Dr. Garner enjoys gardening, hunting, fishing,
and watching college football (his beloved UT Vols).
He and his wife Ruthie have one son, Stephen.
The family are active members of Sherwood Baptist Church.
